Export Markdown to Clipboard

When exporting to Markdown, I am often inserting into a larger document. There are two things when the "embed images" is checked, the images are still exported to a folder even though they are not needed. It would be nice to not export images as they are not needed. In addition to the Export Markdown button, could we get a "Copy Markdown" button to copy the output to clipboard? Would be nice rather than saving, opening and cut/paste.
